Matt Masiar, CTO
Matt previously served as web team lead at PlentyofFish, where he ran numerous large-scale technical operations. Matt led a team of 15 developers serving a website with millions of daily page views and transactions. He was responsible for crafting a long-term strategy to improve team velocity and reduce bottlenecks in development and Continuous Integration (CI) processes.
He started his first company Aoulous in 1999 to develop MorWEB, a web-based mortgage broker origination system, one of the first commercial applications to widely use XML over HTTP Requests for a more dynamic and efficient end-user experience.
A pioneer of web technology for almost two decades, Matt’s work has won numerous local and international web development awards, including the Webby Award, the Golden Web Award, and the W3 Award. Matt has demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing secure, high-performance, scalable applications; large-scale integration projects; native mobile and responsive web applications; blockchain applications; and legacy client-server based applications.
Matt obtained his BSc Double Major in Computer Science and History from the University of Toronto and possesses a robust background in software design patterns, agile methodology, architecture, ASP.net, C#, Mobile Applications, Web Design, Management, and relational database design.
